A HAUNTED ROMANCE | STYLED SHOOT | ABITA SPRINGS, LOUISIANA
” I admit she had a little madness. But I didn’t care; she was magic and I was on the edge. She wanted to fall and I wanted to fly. And somewhere in-between we lost direction in our heads. We collided, and I lost my heart on impact” – R.M. Drake
Halloween being my favorite holiday, it was only appropriate that we do a “haunted” styled wedding shoot!
I spoke with my friend and fellow photographer, Brandi Hillhouse, about a doing a shoot together, and the wheels began to turn!
Cheers to my crazy friends who support all of my crazy ideas… Love you all so much! <3
So once I got Brandi, Haley, Ashton, Nick, Emily, Miss Janice & Mr. Don on board, I knew that we were going to have a blast and create some great photographs! And we did just that.
Emily and I went to scout a spot for the shoot behind her mother’s home in Abita Springs. We walked all through Mr. Don’s very complex disc golf course, and thought we had found a great spot until we were walking out of the woods and noticed the “perfect” spot.
Haley made the beautiful bouquet with fresh flowers from Acquistapace’s Grocery Store!
Emily made Ashton’s flower crown at the last minute. We keep hot glue guns close by, always lol
Brandi picked up the cake made by Melanie Knight– it was delicious.
Ashton’s stunning black gown is from Maiya Boutique
I brought my Lenox china and Waterford crystal, and we had a champagne party in the forest while taking pictures!
Ashton Leigh is our blushing bride dressed in black. Ashton is a talented actress and owns The Broken Leg Acting Studio in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a blast to work with!
Nick Pechon is our handsome groom. He is a fellow photographer and creative. Nick is really laid back and was just the guy for the job!
I’ve shared a few favorites from our shoot… Enjoy <3
Happy Halloween 😉
